Read the MTF Melbourne transport plan

Melbourne requires a transport plan that provides people with real options. Leaving the car at home and choosing sustainable transport must be an option for all, not just those lucky or wealthy enough to live near public transport. Walking and cycling must be given the priority they deserve, making them an attractive and safe option for everyone from school children to the elderly. A liveable Melbourne needs to become more compact, making smarter use of space and reducing the need for car based lifestyles. Read the report on line

pt4me2 has also joined with Environment Victoria to produce a shorter brochure which outlines the key issues of congestion, climate change and rising fuel prices. It gives an overview of what the Victorian Government should be including in their new transport strategy for Melbourne, due to come out later this year. On the back page you'll find some useful contact details so you can ask for real transport choice.. Read the brochure on line
